Ships & Hangar
Look up any Star Citizen ship with autocomplete, browse a manufacturer's full lineup, and build a personal hangar with one-click add/remove buttons.
StarBot ships with a full Star Citizen ship database. Members can pull up any ship's stats
and store price with /ship, page through everything a manufacturer makes with
/manufacture, and keep a personal fleet — their hangar — that anyone can peek at via a
right-click context menu. It all works out of the box; the only configuration is optional
role-gating.
Looking up a ship
Run /ship name: and start typing — the name field
autocompletes against the ship database, so carr finds the Carrack before you finish
the word. The bot replies with a detail embed: manufacturer, role, crew, cargo capacity,
dimensions, price, and a link to the RSI store page, plus buttons to add the ship to (or
remove it from) your hangar.
ship name:CarrackBrowsing a manufacturer
/manufacture name: shows a paginated lineup of every ship a
manufacturer produces — handy when you know you want "something from Drake" but not which
hull. The name field autocompletes manufacturers the same way /ship autocompletes ships;
use the pager buttons under the embed to flip through the lineup.

The hangar is each member's personal fleet list, built up from those Add to Hangar buttons (or trimmed with the remove button on the same embed).
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| /hangar view | List every ship in your hangar |
| /hangar stats | Fleet totals — ship count and aggregate stats across your collection |
| /hangar remove | Take a ship out of your hangar |
Curious what someone else flies? Right-click a member → Apps → View Hangar — the User context-menu command shows their fleet without them running anything.
Dashboard: restricting who can use it (optional)
Both halves of this feature appear as cards on the Features tab of your guild dashboard:
Ship Sync (the ship database — /ship and /manufacture) and Hangar (the personal
fleet — /hangar and the context menu). Each card's Configure modal has exactly one setting,
an Allowed Role. Leave it empty and everyone can use the commands; set it and only members
holding that role can.
Only members with this role can use the hangar commands. Leave empty to allow everyone.
- 1
Open the Features tab. Go to your guild's dashboard at trystarbot.com — Features is the default tab.
- 2
Find the Ship Sync or Hangar card and click Configure. They're separate cards, so you can gate ship lookups and hangars independently.
- 3
Pick an Allowed Role in the modal, then click Save Changes. Members without the role can no longer run the card's commands. To open it back up to everyone, clear the role and save again.
Allowed Role is the quick, feature-wide gate. If you need finer control — say, /ship for
everyone but /hangar remove limited to officers — the Permissions tab lets you override
individual commands. See the command permissions guide.
